Design Proposals

Ok pare, I just received tons of proposals coming from individuals aspiring to design my site. Syempre diba, I need to sort out the amateurs and the basuras. So I made bura almost 80% of the proposals I received. I mean, please don't offer free web design if you think you're nothing naman diba? And besides, money is not a problem pare. I am willing to pay as long as you or your company deliver WHAT I WANT and ON TIME! I assigned na lang my secretary to coordinate with the following design companies to help me develop and create my site:

1. Philweavers - This one was referred by a certain Ivy and was sent to my email. She told me na this group daw is really great in designing websites. But when I checked the site, it was like a database lang pala of designers. I don't have time pa to check them one by one because of my busy sked. I don't want to trust my secretary naman on choosing the designer for me here, she's like walang alam kasi pare sa aesthetics. So, probably I'll check the site na lang later.

2. Team Manila - This one was referred by my uncle. He told me na the group was really creative daw because he had them design a flyer for him on one of the events that he organized before. Kaso when I browsed their site kanina, I found no portfolio of the sites they've created.

3. Design Lab Project - This one I got from the tons of proposals I received via email. And besides, I found Willy Saw's site listed in their portfolio, (My tita once hired this guy to do a photoshoot of her resto before.) so probably, I'll contact Willy, one of these days to inquire about the group.

4. L.A. Design Studio - This design group was referred by my cousin from L.A. They are a bit pricey, but will still check them out siguro tomorrow. I'm after naman quality and not the price.

5. Bhong.com - Nice portfolio coming from this one, but I don't like their domain name. Kinda cheesy.

And to the other proposals that were not mentioned here, please do us all a favor and shut down your company together with your crappy design portfolio. Kaka-highblood lang kasi pare. To think na I've wasted my precious time visiting your site no.

Aba! ayus yan ah!

Love their collection though. Anyways, bet ko yung Design Lab, I think sila yung nakapasok sa finals ng Philippine Web Awards last year. Magaling din si Bhong.com.

Hi there coño! I ran into your blog quite by accident and I have to say I was shocked by your manners! Especially on how you treat your mom and how you view the poor in our society. Tsk tsk.

I didn't know one-dimensional people like you really do exist. I thought people like you exist only in TV teleseryes.

BTW, you should change your blog's title because it is not appropriate to its content. "Make Poverty History" is the name of a charity crusade in UK and you might be hailed to court for copyright infringement. In fact, I was searching for it when I ran into your blog.

pare, go with LA Design Studio na lang pare. you don't want some katutubos getting your money no. and besides, you don't want to expose yourself to some bobo orcs di ba? you might get a disease pa or something. if you don't get sakit naman, i'm sure they'll kill you one way or the other. mas fast nga lang kasi i'm sure they'll use a blunt object like their laptop or the cup you used to drink your cup of chino.

Lei_SATG said...

patawa naman dude kung we will see "website design by bhong.com".. so funny naman kasi the name! lols^^

Anonymous said...

wow bigtime ka talaga pagka LA Design Studio kinuha mo! copyright infringement? pinopromote nga yung organization nila via web LINK eh pano naging infringement yan? Regarding the title "::Make Poverty History!", it's just a theme for a blog parody. technically, it does not directly represent, much less copy the "makepovertyhistory.org" website content or the movement itself... that should be obvious by now. also, the blog's title and content can be interpreted multifariously depending on how the author wants it to be perceived... so people should stop talking nonsense about these things.

oh, and one other thing... long live the orcs! =)

mamatay na kayo mga posers with your second hand cellphones!

Ei cofi, try this www.creativetwo.com, the people here came from prestigious ad agencies, they also have wonderful portfolio.

Anonymous said...

What do you think of yourself dude? You don't have power and authority to judge artists.

Too bad your money can't buy you a heart and a brain. You need it more than a website promoting your arrogance. But clearly, this blog was written to annoy people and arouse the reactions that the readers have written all over the place. And by the way, you sound sooooo gay.

BETCHA YOURE OFF FOR THE CHEAPEST ONE. LOLZ

My god pare.. it's like you're starting to be like uber sikat na by just having your website and all. Shet talaga. Im like inggit na dude.

Anonymous said...

Just wondering, im new at this.

The person who posted that ^^ made it sound like being gay is bad. Mercy...

Anonymous said...

oh,i thought you're "matalino". why can't you design your own site. i know many good personal sites na dinesign lang ng mga college students. and you can't even design your own.

haha!

Anonymous said...

hey aceist, maybe the other anonymous meant that this cofibean guy who claims he is such a hottie actually IS gay and sounds like it. not that being gay is an issue. But for someone claiming to be straight and being choosy in going out with girls, this style of writing more than betrays his claims. No offense to the third sex, but i think the expression "so gay" means that he is not the person he claims to be. And why should girls hesitate to go out with him if he really is drop dead gorgeous? Baka naman kasi he is panget after all?! Wahaha :D

Anonymous said...

cofibean kaw ba nagsulat nito? Uhmm, parang kulang sa spice ah. Cguro la ka sa mood ... hehe

Anonymous said...

cofi bin, suggest ko uli ha, bilhan mo ng english-tagalog dictionary yung secretary mo pra mdyo hndi ovious yung grammar nya dahl she'd be creative enough with the errors she make by using mga high falluting words and di na ovious but jst complicated nonsense buznes write ups.

o approve mo nalng to ha, medyo baliktad lang tlaga nka set na mind ko about orcs' belief na YOU could be their GOD ...

Anonymous said...

so panget naman taste mo sa site design erap...

Anonymous said...

la lang.. napadaan lang....

Anonymous said...

I am *so* over this blog.

Anonymous said...

Maybe you are that lazy and ignorant that you don't know how to make a better blog. If you are that rich maybe you can buy a book or a software where you can learn from.

Anonymous said...

For web design, try www.flav0r.com (the o in flav0r is zero) - the guy is a freelancer from Cebu. He did the Yale berkeley college site. Expensive pero he's good. Yes, his clients are mostly from abroad. The problem is if he accepts local clients - mukhang gaya mo rin siya - just read his blog in his site.

Anonymous said...

Also I forgot to mention, though its obvious naman in his site, that this flav0r.com guy speaks perfect english (UMassachusetts graduate) and was a creative director of a multinational ad agency in manila. sorry for the plugging - he's a very good friend - Just check na lang his portfolio. Also, don't approve this post na lang. Just read it na lang. Otherwise, i'll create a stir and hurt my friend at mag puntahan ang mga orcs dun sa kanyang portfolio site. He'll hate me for that. Thanks.

Btw, i like your site, well, its funny - we even use "katutubos" when referring to commoners. hah!

Whats funny is this Bhong.com site - very "native"/ jologs naman his name.

Anonymous said...

so how much did these design studios pay you?

Anonymous said...

bhong.com site name "jologs"? well, he was just one of the many judges at the philippine web awards for several years already. just a little thought :)

Anonymous said...

by the way, team manila's not much into web design so you won't see any sites in their portfolio.

and that is why their site says "Team Manila Graphic Design Studio" coz theyre into graphic design not web design. and their portfolio speaks for the quality of their work

Philweavers.net is an archive of all the qualified/talented filipino web designers all around the world.

You can post your JOB order by signing-in as an employer for free. All interested applicants/contractors for the job will be automatically emailed to your email address.

The Designers of Team Manila they're also members of Philweavers.net.

For the Designers you found that they say they are from the U.S.... well.. think again.... most of them are outsourcing the designs here in the Philippines specially those from Los Angeles.

Nice Blog! Catchy!

I dont know you but you have an amateur skill in looking for a designer..

qualified designers dont put off portfolio since most are busy working on something else and mostly have pile of works.

qualified designers prefer a one on one conversation since client needs are different..

Portfolio dont mean anything since they can be copied from someones works.. they are just eyecandy to give you an idea..

Philweavers is not just a database but a community.. and most designers are part of it.. It also start to have a growth in database developers in its database..

just few cents..

------------

P.S. my blog has nothing in it, dont bother to check.. i am running a different CMS system in a different server.. this blog system wont allow you at least 70% control..

I thought ba money's not a problem? Why now are you making baliktad the situation, going for quality... how coño-poser naman.

To the guy who posted above,

Obviously, hindi mo naintindihan ang buong sentence. Kindly read and ponder on it more. Better yet, gamit ka ng dictionary. go cofi!

To Vhortex,

I think what you wrote are all crap. Who the hell thought of the idea na amateurs ang nagpopost ng portfolio sa site nila? BOBO!

Anonymous said...

Humn.. I thought you are using Mac? How come windows Firefox ang printed screen mo? O well, I'll just give you the benefit of the doubt since you are using Macbook. Meron namang bootcamp for you to be able to boot on Windows. Yoko kasing matawag na nagmamarunong na orc. Hehehe. Kudos on your blog.

do i smell some unpro person here..

where do in my post that i say only amateurs post portfolio?

and if you are good, will you waste your time posting portfolios when you can just do your work and make your clients recommend you?

just few cents and please stop hiding as anonymous.

the best time to give the portfolio is when you meet the client and handing him your CD bizcard.

Maybe some pamphlets or handouts. And talk about the needs..

----

maybe you are one type of guy who needs to post alot of portfolio to get clients attention.

while you are busy with your portfolio stuff we are busy working and meeting with our clients and handing them out our custom tailored portfolio in nice shiny cd designed for the clients current needs.

that way, we wont force the client to login and let him/her carry our portfilio..

side thing for this..
we can print our business card on tap of the cd case or cd itself.. hey, i can even print my stupid face on it as you have said!

Anonymous said...

though i agree with you vhortex, i still think printing CD is too old school...

To the anonymous guy, you dont need those to prove na may portfolio ka. First contact, they'll ask you for the URL of the sites you made. then they will ask questions concerning their need. Kung hindi ka marunong sumagot sa questions ng clients, that means you don't know what you're doing. LOL! They will never contact you again. Have you heard of emails and videoconferencing? The pros just email or video conference with the prospects and clients to close the deal and manage projects as they are too busy to even go out and meet them. No use flying halfway around the world for a meeting.

vhortex is right - those are just eye candies!
;P

To Vhortex and Luis:

Pareho kayong amateurs! Please lang no. Bother someone else with your kabobohan and katangahan. I have clients flying all the way here just to meet up with me because they've seen my portfolio online. Anyways, I think I don't need to do any explaining to you idiots. Obvious na u guys are just employed. Goodluck losers!

Anonymous said...

hmmmmnnnn... partner of an American company but definitely not employed. Oh! I have business partners who fly all the way here just to meet with me.

No, I don't need an elaborate portfolio...its a waste of time. In fact, i don't even look for clients anymore...

All they have to do is google for my name or my company. by the way, when you search for philippines web design or BPO it ranked 3 - 5 in google. ;P

Anonymous said...

so mr anonymous, claiming that "clients flying all the way here" - whats your site? I want to look at your portfolio- i've got some projects to give you. Dapat i-prove mo na talagang big time ang clients mo.

Otherwise, anonymous ka lang talaga.

Anonymous said...

You're just all TRASH... FUCK YOU ALL!!!

Anonymous said...

good luck with the site.. hehe

Anonymous said...

err... i think you are so BOBO naman e. team manila is doing print design not web... cguro kulang ka lang sa pansin at nagpapataas ka lang ng hits ng blogs mo... LOSER kung marami ka pera bat di ka ulet mag aral at matuto ka naman ng GOOD MANNERS AND RIGHT CONDUCT... or sobrang pathetic lang talaga ng buhay mo at kung sino sino pa ang dinadamay mo sa miserable mong buhay. nakaka awa ka naman....
